Days are surely getting shorter and shorter - an observation I made during this outfit shoot as it got darker and darker within few minutes. And the shoot wasn't even a long one.
I have mixed feelings about the season change; excited about how beautiful it'll look once the leaves have colored and excited about spending those dark and chilly evenings watching my favorite TV shows with a hot beverage but, at the same time I miss the warm summer nights and everything that came along with them. Well, I guess that's human nature.
Today's look is quite autumnal, not because there's so much black in it though. I just think it has that vibe to it. :) Hope you enjoy this outfit post!

Today I have a Batiste dry shampoo review for you! I have previously tried several dry shampoo's and I have to say that each and every one of them had their flaws - either they didn't do much at all or the scent was too overpowering. Speaking about Batiste dry shampoo's, I have seen a lot of beauty bloggers reviewing and saying great things about them but I never had the chance to try them out for myself, until now. And it's better to start with the original version, right? As a brunette, I was curious to try the medium & brunette version, too. So let's get into it..

Both of them have different scents - I would say that the brunette version has a softer scent and the original is more fresh. They are both lovely and most importantly, they're not intense, you don't end up smelling like a flower shop or cheap fragrance, in fact the scent is barely there after using the product.

My hair tends to get oily very quickly so dry shampoo is a life saver for me, unless I want to wash my hair every other day, which I don't. They do leave greasy hair clean and refreshed afterwards and I think it's a great product to use between washes. Used properly (with about 30 cm distance from roots and massaged/brushed thoroughly) it doesn't leave your hair looking gray. Although if you have darker hair than me, you may want to choose one for dark & deep brown hair. With the brunette version though you have to be careful not to accidentally spray it on your ears like I did the first time because it comes out brown so that can leave the skin looking dirty, and who wants that!? :)

The combination of black and white, like Paris, is always a good idea. The first thing that comes to my mind when I hear the words black&white, is sophisticated.. or classy. And I am not talking about clothes only.
Indeed, black & white adds some level of chicness to an outfit even if you're wearing a white t-shirt and black jeans. Today I have on a white jumper and a black textured jersey skirt, both from H&M. And not to forget an orange-red lipstick that I think adds a nice accent to the look!

Hi! Nothing really justifies my absence on the blog but, regardless, I wanted to share this simple and casual look with you today. September has brought rain and chilly weather, yet I am hoping for a heatwave that'll bring some hot days in order to properly say my goodbyes to this summer. Therefore, I chose a quite summery outfit, pairing jeans with a camisole and a plaid shirt over it. As for shoes, I'm wearing white Birkenstock alternatives from H&M that I got on sale in July. They go together with almost everything in my summer wardrobe, but let me just tell you, they're not the comfiest sandals!

This is what I chose to wear yesterday to go for a walk. As you can probably see, for me it's all about being comfy. And it's over-sized t-shirts, jeans and sneakers that I feel most comfortable in. Only this time I went for boots and added a simple over-sized clutch which makes the outfit look a little more sophisticated, I think. Also, this is my first pair of mirror sunglasses (where have I been all this time, right?). They just make every outfit much more awesome!

Invitation to the Centenary Ball. 1915–2015

This time I'd like to provide a little insight of a wonderful exhibition called "Invitation to the Centenary Ball. 1915–2015" presenting the most beautiful evening gowns from the private couture collection of the fashion historian Alexandre Vassiliev, Paris.
In it you will see dozens of glamorous ball gowns (some men's tuxedos too) and accessories, including jewelry, shoes, hats, and even make-up worn at the beginning of the 20th century up till 2015.
The exhibition is hosted at the Museum of Decorative Arts and Design (in Riga 10/20 Skārņu street) until October 25, 2015. I enjoyed it very much myself. Definitely visit it if you have the chance, but for those of you who don't, I hope you'll enjoy the pictures as there will be quite a lot of them!
